The best thing possible and to happen during our sojourn in the United States was the launch on August 21 last year of this ambitious website www.karunaguthi.com - the best possible way to reach out to our friends and relatives worldwide. We are grateful to all who made it possible.
It was, however, not possible for us to keep our viewers updated regularly as expected. How right was Kamal P Malla with his remarks - "It is easy these days to launch one, but hard to sustain it with meaningful matter and substance of interest to visitors." We do not know how far we have been able to present ourselves with something interesting to offer all these days. There was, however, a long gap on our part and almost half the year gone whiled away in between.
It was really indeed a great sense of achievement joining hands with friends and relatives dedicated to the cause worldwide. Back home I feel and realize how things are not possible here as Keshav C Pradhan advised me - "You really did a good job to make Sikkim Newar better known. Here you will find matter stand-still but that should not dampen your enthusiasm." . How right he was, again!
Yet without being disheartened and in spite of everything good and bad here, we feel encouraged seeing the achievement by some of our fellow Newars in Sikkim that make us believe in what we firmly held – the Newars are the Best and Always!
Their contribution to the society individually is something that makes us feel proud of. It helps us to bounce back raising the mark of our level little higher for the days to come.
We salute and heartily congratulate them all here and dedicate this edition to those achievers.
We have to honour, acknowledge, respect, celebrate and assert ourselves and the achievement lest our own people ignore it when others have appreciated and recognized years of toils and efforts at our individual level to excel and prove that we have proven ourselves our worth so.
With this much of understanding and sense of togetherness, we rededicate to the cause and offer this yet another update till the next!
It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness.
